Story Quest accounts are created by adults. Parents choose what profile details to provide and use those details to create stories. This page summarises the current Privacy Policy; the full policy is the source of truth.
Adults manage the account
The Privacy Policy says accounts are created by and for adults aged 18 or over. Parents or guardians supply child profile information; Story Quest does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
What parents may provide
A child profile uses a first name or nickname and an age range. Optional details can include interests or friend names; the policy says a surname, date of birth, photograph, or other sensitive personal information is not required or requested.
How details are used
Profile details are used to generate personalised stories. The Privacy Policy says child information is not used for advertising or profiling and is not sold, rented, or traded. Prompts sent to OpenAI include a child's first name, age range, and selected theme, but not the parent's email address.
Deletion and the full policy
Parents can contact Story Quest to request account deletion. The current policy says personal data and child profiles are deleted within 30 days after account deletion, except records that must be retained by law. It also explains generated-story retention, third-party services, technical data, and other rights.
